About the Author

Ethan Goffman is Senior Editor for ProQuest's Discovery Guides and an editorial associate for Sustainability: Science, Practice, & Policy. He also writes for a variety of environmental publications, including Grist and E: The Environmental Magazine. Goffman is the author of Imagining Each Other: Blacks and Jews in Literature (State University of New York Press, 2000) and coeditor of The New York Intellectuals and Beyond (with Dan Morris, Purdue University Press, forthcoming). He is currently coediting (with John Rodden) a book of interviews with Irving Howe. Goffman holds a PhD in English Literature from Indiana University.
